Osbit is very proud to be founded and based within the North East of England. As well as being a world-recognised hub for offshore engineering expertise, our region has a fascinating engineering heritage. It is here that some of the world’s first subsea vehicles were created, and where Victorian innovation and shipbuilding thrived. Today, we are part of an extensive local supply chain making a real difference in driving the world’s transition to renewable energy sources.
Osbit designs and builds engineering systems which are used to execute a variety of offshore operations, predominantly in the rapidly growing offshore wind sector.
Osbit’s engineers are experts in developing cutting-edge equipment to improve offshore safety, and efficiency, for operations such as laying offshore cables and installing wind turbine foundations.
The company is based in Riding Mill, Northumberland and operates a workshop facility at the Port of Blyth, where much of its equipment is assembled and loaded out to be used across the world.
