Air

Newcastle International Airport is at the heart of our region and offers frequent, daily flights to London, Amsterdam, Paris and Dubai.  The airport carries nearly 5 million passengers a year to a number of European and global hubs as well as airfreight services to and from international markets.

Sea

Energy Gateway North East England is home to three main ports – Port of Tyne, Port of Sunderland and Port of Blyth.  All of the port’s offer excellent road and rail infrastructure links along with state-of-the-art logistics solutions. 

Rail

Excellent links to the UK high speed rail network including half-hourly rail services linking the nearby Newcastle Central to London Kings Cross in less than three hours and to Edinburgh in 90 minutes.

Road

The A1(M) connects Energy Gateway North East England to the entire UK motorway network.  The A19 and A69 trunk road provides connections to the South and West of the UK. The Energy Gateway boasts an excellent choice of hauliers and logistics companies.

Tyne and Wear Metro

The Tyne and Wear metro system is the largest rapid transport system in the UK outside of London.   With over 60 stations across the Tyne and Wear conurbation, it connects the workforce to major business hubs and Newcastle International Airport.
