Description

The Port of Sunderland’s enclosed dock system is a significant feature of the Port of Sunderland and has direct links to both Corporation Quay and Greenwells Quay The berths here provide a wide range of support to the bulk handling markets and also for support to the offshore oil & gas and renewable sectors with berthing available for both short and long term vessel lay-by. There is over 50 hectare of developable areas here on this site with hardstanding and 6,000 square metres of warehousing for material laydown, storage and fabrication Part of this is the East Shore Enterprise Zone area comprising a 9 acre site for immediate development.  This northern part of this site adjoins the Port’s Greenwells Quay facility thus allowing use of the specialist facilities here for project and heavy cargo load in and load out, which could potential originate to or from a site on East Shore.
