Description

Following major multi-million pound improvements, Bates Clean Energy Terminal now features a blend of modern warehouse terminal space and a 7Ha development site, with a brand new heavy lift quay, new access roads and remediated land. The terminal is set to feature a host of low carbon initiatives aimed at attracting investment from the renewables sector including a revolutionary minewater heating scheme, electric plant and machinery, solar power throughout and exciting partnerships exploring new low carbon technologies. With two heavy lift quays offering flexibility, the terminal is used predominantly for offshore energy related heavy project piece movements and super lift cranes. GEOS Group operates a port marine fuel terminal on site and one quay features RoRo capability. Part of the site is located in an Enterprise Zone.
