The Digital Catapult Centre North East & Tees Valley is one of four regional Digital Catapult Centres, a government-backed initiative that works with innovative start-ups to help build new sectors and new opportunities in emerging areas of technology such as the Internet of Things, 5G, AI and Immersive technologies.
It also works with larger traditional organisations to help them explore new ways of innovating and introduce them to innovative SMEs that can support the development of new solutions and services.
Digital Catapult Centre NETV is a consortium led by Sunderland Software City on behalf of the North East LEP, Tees Valley Unlimited and all five North East Universities.
Services for Investors
Digital Catapult NETV works with larger organisations from multiple sectors to help them explore the application of data-driven and emerging technologies to improve current services, processes or overcome barriers at minimal risk.
We offer multiple exploration routes, from hackathons to commercial business challenges; and work alongside businesses throughout the innovation process to identify barriers and investigate opportunities and apply our knowledge of the SME digital marketplace to qualify potential suppliers and create commercial opportunities for the region’s technology SMEs, public sector and academia- supporting the competitiveness, longevity and growth of corporate organisations and the North East’s digital tech sector.
