Swans Offshore Energy Park is a state-of-the-art offshore energy park for companies in the offshore energy, subsea and marine industries will be showcased at a major exhibition.
The 19-hectare site in Wallsend, which has over 17 hectares of development land, a working quay and a wet berth, is aimed at offshore energy sector businesses looking to relocate and grow in North East England. The Offshore Energy Park is a unique development site and quay for businesses in the offshore, subsea and marine industries – a deep-water base located in North Tyneside in the North East of England.
The energy park provides the opportunity to lease or purchase bespoke purpose-built accommodation up to half a million square foot in size. The site has been identified as an Enterprise Zone which provides simplified planning regimes for new buildings.
A total of £26 million has been secured for improvements on the park including build costs, river dredging, road infrastructure, quay edge improvements and updating of the power supply on site.
With access to over 400m of quay, two berths and three quays, including a Heavy Load-out Quay, the park provides quay, berthing, lay-down and load out facilities for companies in the industry.
Offshore energy, subsea and marine companies such as SMD, GE, WD Close, Subsea 7, A2Sea, BAM UK Ltd, ALE and others have recently used the on-site quay and deepwater berths for load outs, mobilisation and berthing.
