Port of Blyth Supports GMS Hornsea One Jack Up Project
With a growing reputation as a major UK offshore energy support base in the billion pound North East subsea industry, Port of Blyth is able to offer clients the service, project support and expertise they require to prosper.
The Port is now home to a number of leading companies from across the offshore energy sector who have taken advantage of the benefits on offer at Blyth, with many more regularly visiting Blyth to complete projects both in the short and medium terms.
The Port has recently begun working with Gulf Marine Services to support their work on the Hornsea One wind farm, providing two offshore accommodation vessels for wind farm technicians. Watch as the second of these jack up barges, the GMS Evolution arrives in Blyth, on deck of the largest vessel ever to visit Port of Blyth – the OHT Albatross.
