Brenntag, the global market leader in chemical distribution, has held an Open Day celebrating the launch of the new site in the Turbine Business Park, Sunderland.
The new Brenntag North East site is an important development for the region and will serve as a major chemical & ingredients distribution, service and sales facility for North Cumbria and the North East of England.
The new purpose-built site is designed to store and handle chemical products and ingredients for the vast number of life, material and environmental manufacturing industries. The site features extensive mixing and blending facilities, dedicated specialised storage, bulk liquid storage, dedicated and segregated product storage etc, in all totalling an impressive 3.4 acres.
Over 100 manufacturers attended the open day, along with the Mayor of the City of Sunderland Lynda Scanlan, along with the Consort of the Mayor Micky Horswill, representatives of the North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC), Department of International Trade, and industry associations.
